Come walk with us!
When: Saturday, April 26th
Where: Shelby Farms
Who: The WHOLE Family
What: March for Babies -5 mile walk
Did you know that. . . Among the 60 largest cities in America, Memphis recorded the highest rate of infant mortality in 2005. At 14 infant deaths per 1,000 births, this is twice the national average. Last year, 1 out of 8 babies were born prematurely making it the leading cause of newborn death and many disabilities. March for Babies (formerly WalkAmerica) is the largest fundraising event for the March of Dimes.
As if that were not enough to make you wanna come out and walk with us how about this...
- Because right now, premature birth touches half a million babies and their families every year
- Because babies born too soon are more likely to die, or have lifelong disabilities
- Because 120,000 babies are born with serious birth defects every year
- Because nearly 4,000 premature babies each year will not live to celebrate their first birthday
- Because every baby deserves someone in their corner
those born healthy and
those that need help to survive and thrive.
Come walk in honor of all the babies in your life!
Hope to see you there!
If you need more detailed info let me know.
